Welcome to a new week at The Almonte Tea Shop.  Hoping y'all enjoyed the gorgeous summer weather we've been having.  What kind of frivolities were you up to? We went to Busters Bar in Kanata to listen to and dance to my favourite band Taming Vegas.  If you haven't followed their Facebook page, you really should.  They will be playing at the Barley Mow on Merivale Road on October 25. Why don't you join us?  It is always a good time, plus, I'll be there. :) I had to speak with the Tea Pot staff this morning because it was only 9 degrees when I went in for my first cup of tea. I explained to them that they need to close the windows at night so their customers don't freeze. Other than that, the staff is awesome. Every tea I get is just perfect. It's almost like I made them myself. I hope that you had a great Monday.

The end of my first week in my new role.  I have to say that I wasn't sure about how things would go but it was a great week.  No stress for the first time in years. So what happened in the toddling Town of Almonte this week?  I saw Popeye today.  He is a guy who rides his bike around town with no shirt on.  It was cold today but I guess he likes everyone to ogle him. I would definitely wear this dress if I had it, would you?  So much fun. My last tidbit is that I got a call today and I am positive the guy said he was calling from the Rogers Empire. I guess that's how they think of themselves. Hahaha I'm looking forward to the weekend and hope you all have a great one. The sewer folks brought their giant sewer sucker truck. I'm not sure I'd l...

WELCOME to the first episode of THE ALMONTE TEA POT . At the Tea Pot you'll find a lot of laughter (mostly the proprietor to herself). Hours:  7 am to whenever Prices: Tea, treats (chocolate zucchini cake, butter tarts, rhubarb cake and typically around Christmas, peanut butter balls) - the price is a good conversation and some laughs. Setting: Nestled in a cute (Hallmark movie) town, The Tea Pot has a lovely patio and a very comfortable lounge. This is a place where you can sit with your feet up and feel like you are visiting family. The owner is a funny woman who now works completely from home and isn't sure how she will be alone all day, every day and not go mad.  She  really needs to share her stories with people because she loves to talk. She has stories of small town people sightings and of the lovely places to walk and hike in Almonte and would love to share them with you. Just yesterday she was out for a lunchtime walk and encountered an older woman walking her 3 ...
